Introduction
Fasson® Transtherm Plus/S1010/BG40Wh Imp
This product has been specially designed to achieveoptimum performance for thermal transfer printingapplications. Its special surface coating provides :
- Compatibility with a wide range of wax andwax-resin thermal transfer ribbons.
- Good print resolution of high density barcodes.
- Low to high speed thermal transfer printing.
- Superb multicolor pre-printing results
- Good smudge resistance.
Applications include address, identification, tracking,and shipping labels for offices, industrial and retail.FASSON Transtherm facestock is developed and selected in close co-operation with leading thermal transfer printer and ribbon manufacturers. The print quality of the thermal transfer system depends on the correct match of thermal transfer ribbon, printer and printing surface, therefore, careful selection of
thermal transfer ribbon and preliminary testing is essential. S1010 adhesive has been developed as General Purpose Permanent adhesive for paper labels. It
adheres well to a variety of substrates. It is advisable to test the product with the end-use conditions during the qualification to ensure it meets specific requirements.

Printing / Converting
The material can be converted and printed by all conventional printing technologies. Areas of the label designated for thermal transfer printing should not be printed or varnished prior to printing.

Shelf Life
One year when stored at 22°C and 50% R.H.

Statement of Practical Use
As with all pressure sensitive materials, this product should be tested thoroughly under end-use conditions to ensure it meets the requirements of the specific application.

Facestock
A bright, matte white, pigmented woodfree printing paper, specially designed for use in thermal transfer printers running at slow to high speed.
Basis Weight: 62 g/m² TAPPI T410
Caliper: 66 μm TAPPI T411

Adhesive
S1010 is an emulsion acrylic adhesive.

Initial Tack: 12.8 or tear N/25mm FTM 9 glass
Peel Adhes. 90°: 9.0 or tear N/25mm FTM 2 st.st.
Min. appl. temp.: 5°C
Service temp.: -20°C to 80°C subject to facestock limitations

Food Industry Labels
The adhesive complies with FDA regulations (section
175.105) for indirect food contact.

Liner
BG40 is a high density glassine paper featuring high
internal strength, toughness and tear resistance as
well as high transparency.

Caliper: 55 μm TAPPI T411

Laminate
Total Caliper: 130 μm +/- 10%
