The PCR-300-AU is a specific model of a compact, USB-connected desktop RFID reader from PROMAG, designed for low-frequency (125kHz) proximity cards, primarily for PC security, user identification, and access control by locking/unlocking systems with card presence, featuring a slot to hold the card and a "Boss Protection" privacy key to instantly hide the screen. It reads EM4100/EM4102 type chip IDs and connects via USB to act as a virtual COM port, making it plug-and-play for systems like WinLoq software.
